The 7th BIGTEX Expo is set to commence on Tuesday
The 7th BIGTEX, also known as the Bangladesh International Garment and Textile Machinery Expo, is scheduled to commence on October 26 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the city.
According to a press release, the inauguration of this event is expected to be conducted by Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun and will run until October 28.
At a press conference held at the Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) auditorium in the city, RedCarpet Global Limited, the organizer of BIGTEX, unveiled comprehensive details about this major exhibition.
The organizers emphasized their commitment to the entire Textile, Garment, and Apparel industry. They have simultaneously arranged five international exhibitions at the same venue, including the Bangladesh International Fabric and Yarn Expo, Bangladesh International Printing, Packaging and Signage Expo, Bangladesh International Dyes, Pigments and Chemicals Expo, and 3P Expo – Bangladesh International Paper, Printing and Packaging Expo.
These exhibitions will serve as a pivotal platform for showcasing the latest machinery, technologies, dyes, chemicals, yarns, and fabrics available for Bangladesh. Manufacturers and suppliers from around the world will have the opportunity to connect with the local industry.
Moreover, this expo will offer a valuable opportunity for textile professionals, engineers, and technicians to gain practical knowledge of recent technological advancements without the need to travel abroad.
Ahmed Imtiaz, CEO of Redcarpet Global, revealed that the expo will feature approximately 160 stalls from 12 countries, including nations in Asia and Europe.
Given that Bangladesh is the world’s second-largest apparel exporter and aims to achieve a $100 billion export target by 2030, the need for high-quality garment and textile machinery, equipment, technology, printing and packaging machinery, signage, yarn, fabric, trims, accessories, dyes, pigments, and chemicals at competitive prices is crucial.
This exhibition will provide manufacturers and dealers with a platform to showcase their products, enabling Bangladeshi garment and textile factory owners and apparel exporters to engage with them.
Furthermore, participants can establish valuable business contacts and explore potential business negotiations.
The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) are associate partners of the exhibition, while Image Group is the Powered by partner of the Printing expo.
Support for this expo comes from the Bangladesh Paper Mills Association, and it is endorsed by the Bangladesh Sign Materials and Machineries Importers Association (BSMMIA) and the Bangladesh Digital Printers Owners Association (BDPOA).
During the expo, A.K.M Ahamed Ullah, Secretary of the Bangladesh Digital Printers Owners Association, Md Manik Dewan, Secretary of the Bangladesh Sign Materials and Machineries Importers Association, Md Abdus Salam, CEO of Images Ltd, and Mohammad Ashraful Islam Riyadh, Editor and Publisher of Textile Focus, also provided insights into the exhibitions at the press conference.
The BIGTEX Expo will be open to both general visitors and trade professionals from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm every day.
